Nokia is back but will they get that much popularity again?

Nokia is back
will they get that much popularity?
Lets discuss about it.
Nokia re-entered the Indian smartphone market. Lets hope they are not too late,

Although, this time around the brand is just that -- a brand. The actually company is HMD Global, a Finland-based firm started by old Nokia hands. But then HMD talks like Nokia, walks like Nokia, is full of ex-Nokia people, and sells Nokia phones. For all practical purposes it is now Nokia. And now it is in India. The company launched the Android-powered Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5 smartphones in India.

It will be a while before consumers, and tech media in India, gets a better look at the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. Although earlier, I did see these phones for a while, and used them for an even shorter period. These are impressive phones, even a short duration with them was enough for me to understand that much. HMD Global is taking a very clean and very simple approach with its first Android phones.

These devices are not about the super-fast and ultra premium hardware -- that will possibly be the Nokia 9 in future -- but about the good smartphone experience. And that Nokia is hoping to provide with three basic things ➖

1➡ A clean and distinctive design that also has premium finish. There is no doubt that the Nokia 6 is the best-looking and best built phone under Rs 15,000 mark. In terms of design the only phone I will compare with it in this price bracket is now (possibly) discontinued Lenovo Vibe S1. The Nokia 6 is a premium phone irrespective of the angle you look at it. Then there is the Nokia 5, which is more or less similar to the Nokia 6 in design and build quality. And finally there is the Nokia 3, which may have a plastic body but its finishing and build quality make it look quite dashing. Overall, on the design part Nokia gets it right.

2- The second aspect of the Nokia's comeback is its brand appeal. There is something unique about Nokia phones, which give them an edge. And we will have to see how much of that unique factor the Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the Nokia 3 have, but for now let's give Nokia benefit of doubt. When I used the Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5, I overall liked them. And it was not just because these are nice phones but also because there is Nokia branding on them. Indian consumers just have that connect with the brand, it's familiar, it's personal.
3➡ Finally, there is the simplicity aspect of the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3. And nowhere this simplicity aspect is more evident than the software that is inside these phones. All three phones are powered by the latest Android Nougat aka Android 7.1 software. And unlike what other companies do with this Android by modifying it, Nokia is using the Android with its pure aka stock UI. in other words, the Android in the Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5 is the same one that you get in Google Pixel. This one factor alone makes the new Nokia phones better than the most in the market.

So far so good. Even the price is good. The Nokia 3 will cost Rs 9,499 while the Nokia 5 will sell for Rs 12,899. The Nokia 6, meanwhile, has a price of Rs 14,999. These are very competitive prices. these are the kind of prices that should make Xiaomi and the Motorola sit up and take notice. These are the prices that are going to hit Samsung real bad in the offline market.
